Dedicated to pure luxury, Barton Perreira’s approach to fashion redefines style and elegance. Patty Perreira’s language of inspired design focuses on the evolution process and continues to challenge the industry by unveiling the next new thing.

MYKITA was founded 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans and Moritz Krueger. What to some may sound like an Asian-style name was in fact inspired by the firm’s first premises – a former day-care centre for children (in East Germany abbreviated to „Kita“). Just a year later, the world was introduced to MYKITA *Collection No.1* – an evolutionary step up in terms of both design and exclusivity.

The all-new range of metal frames was unveiled at the Silmo international eyewear fair in the fall of 2004. A highly innovative functional design comprising simple plug connections made complex soldered joints and screw connections redundant, while the frames themselves were cut out of stainless sheet steel before being folded into form. As well as being incredibly light, the latter could be adjusted to the wearer thanks to a wide variety of configuration options.  The corrective spectacles and sunglasses in the collection ranged from the classically elegant to avantgarde designs in a wide range of frame colours.

Exactly two years later, a new collection was unveiled at the 2006 Silmo. In a marked departure from previous frames, MYKITA *Collection No.2* were made from full-bodied acetate – a material that enjoys a huge tradition in the eyewear industry. What set the new spectacles apart was the hinge – a connecting element that hugs the front and temples in the style of a sheath. The designs are crisp, clear and distinctive and are each related to frames from the metal collection. A carefully selected range of nine distinct colours gives *Collection No.2* a varied but nonetheless homogenous collective look. All frames are hand-made at MYKITA’s own production site in Berlin and are available at over 1,400 high-end opticians and selected department stores across the globe.

LAFONT it’s 4 generations in the optical business from 1923, with the opening of the first shop in Paris by Louis Lafont. In 1972, Philippe and Laurence, created the brand LAFONT, in order to distribute the first exclusive collection. Philippe is managing the company and Laurence is designing the collections. She redesigned classical shapes such as P3, cat eyes, by using a large choice of colors and materials, unknown at this time.

The LAFONT concept : combination of design and technique in order to create stylish frames. It’s a daily job to look for new exclusive colours (70% of our colour range is exclusive) in acetate or metal, with a refined design and a great deal of detail. From the beginning of the brand, the collections are entirely and exclusively designed in the lafont creation studio. The studio is now managed by Thomas LAFONT who’s working in the studio for nearly 10 years.

The studio LAFONT ensures that design & the product are the mark of the brand. Every new frame starts from a blank sheet, where inspiration and knowledge will combine. The sources of inspirations are multiple: art galleries, travel, deco expo, books, photos, etc… Each LAFONT frame has its own design, pattern, and colours. Each LAFONT frame is exclusive. The brand won multiple awards worldwide, such as the best women eyewear of year in TOKYO in 2006, best sunglasses of the year in 2006 in Paris, or best kids eyewear of the year in 2000 and 2007 at the Silmo in Paris.”

In 1981, “Anne et Valentin” opens a frame shop in a beautiful location of the 15th century in the heart of Toulouse, Saouth of France.  At this time, they quickly discover that the frame proposal is poor in France.  To improve their assortment, they travel overseas to discover new brands in order to propose them to consumers.  To pursue this idea, “ Anne et Valentin” creates a small collection in coloured acetate, which they introduce in their own shop and also to a few early adopter opticians in the world.

We want people to look nice with their frames, we want people to be satisfied by themselves. we want people to recognize themselves “the frame belong to my identity”. We want people have pleasure to chose a frame, where the choice is difficult.
